Carol's Daughter Monoi/Yamerra/Georgia Salon NY

I attended my first natural hair meet up yesterday at Georgia NY Boutique/Salon!!! It was a really cool night for ladies. The purpose of the event was to celebrate the launch of Carol's Daughter new product line called Monoi (pronounced Muh-noy). I have been meaning to check out this store/salon for a while so it was a perfect occasion to see what the buzz was about and meet other wonderful women who share similar interest.
There were so many women entrepreneurs and bloggers which was so inspirational to see. Women are really taking over!!! The event offered giveaway prizes to two lucky guests: either products from the new line or hair services at the salon. I was actually one of the winners! I chose the products so I won the Monoi Oil Shampoo,  Monoi Oil Conditioner, Monoi Oil Hair Mask. I was so excited, I have been winning things as of late so this win just solidified that its good to take chances and believe in good fortune because it can come your way.
I woke up this morning excited to see how the new products worked and let me say that they are amazing!!!!
I was extremely pleased. I love the line and will probably add it to my hair routine. The line promises 13 times longer life of hair strands and prevents 96% of damage. This means that your hair stays on your head longer and has more opportunity to grow because it is better fortified. I definitely noticed significantly less breakage and my hair was less tangled so I can honestly say that the product ads are true and reliable. If you can, run to Georgia NY, Carol's Daughter or Sephora and give the new line a try. You will not regret it.

  • While at the event, I also tried out Yamerra which is also an all-natural eco-friendly line for skin and hair. I met the founder, Maryam who informed me about some cool aspects of the products like the soaps and butters are rich in pure essential oils and herbs, and vitamin A and E.  Its an amazing line with delicious scents that you should try out. They are really nice fragrances for fresh summer skin and they add a really nice glow. She also sells at Georgia NY. She gave me an awesome hand massage with the Sultry Mango Butter. My hands felt so soft and the scent is sweet without being overwhelming. Every time I walked by someone they said, "What is that nice smell?" I even said the same thing to Maryam when she walked by me.

Here is the link to her website: http://yamerrastore.com/home.html. So, if you are in the Soho area, it would be worth your time to check out  Georgia NY and perhaps try Yamerra and Monoi and all the other goodies there.
